This page explains how to submit a request to remove content from Street-View.io.

Types of Removal Requests

Copyright Infringement (DMCA)

If you believe that content displayed on Street-View.io infringes your copyright, you may submit a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice.

Privacy Concerns

If imagery on Street-View.io displays your face, license plate, home, or other personally identifiable information and you would like it removed or blurred, you may submit a privacy removal request.

Other Content Issues

If you believe content on Street-View.io is otherwise unlawful, harmful, or violates our Terms of Service, please contact us with details.

Important Notice About Third-Party Imagery

Street-View.io displays street-level imagery sourced from third-party providers, including open mapping communities such as Mapillary. We do not create, capture, or own this imagery.

For most removal requests, you may need to contact the original source of the imagery directly:

Mapillary

If the imagery originates from Mapillary or another third-party provider, we recommend submitting your request to them first. Once the imagery is removed from the source, it will no longer appear on Street-View.io.

If you are unsure of the imagery source or need assistance, contact us and we will help direct your request appropriately.

How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, please provide the following information in writing:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, provide a representative list.
  2. Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material on our Site. Please include the specific URL(s) where the infringing content appears.
  3. Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable as an electronic signature).

Please allow up to 10 business days for us to review and respond to your notice.

How to Submit a Privacy Removal Request

If you appear in street-level imagery on Street-View.io (for example, your face, vehicle, or property is visible) and you would like the imagery removed or further blurred, please submit a privacy removal request.

We take privacy seriously. While our imagery sources apply automated blurring to faces and license plates, we understand that additional removal may be necessary in some cases.

Please provide:

  1. The specific URL(s) of the imagery you want removed or blurred.
  2. A description of what you want removed (for example: "my face," "my home," "my vehicle's license plate").
  3. Your contact information (name and email address) so we can follow up if needed.
  4. A brief explanation of why you are requesting removal.

You do not need to provide legal documentation for privacy requests, but we may contact you for verification if necessary.

For imagery sourced from Mapillary, we will forward your request to Mapillary for processing. For other sources, we will take appropriate action to address your concerns.

This process supports your right to erasure under the GDPR (for EU residents) and similar privacy rights under other applicable laws.

Counter-Notification (DMCA)

If you believe that content you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Street-View.io may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users or account holders who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Site or terminate access for any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
